Working Schedule : Friday - Sunday 12 : 30 - 8pm
Days off : Monday - Thursday

BASIC PURPOSE :
This role will be closely working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disability.
The primary role of a Job Coach is to supervise program participants in the different work locations. Additionally, the job coach is responsible in ensuring that participants are able to meet established goals, conform to policies of the assigned worksites, and The Roland Center policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Ensure participants' work habits such as : punctuality, following procedures, cooperation, initiative, and appearance are up to the employer's standards
- Ensure individual adheres to health and safety standards per employer's requirements
- Ensure participants understand their work tasks and can complete them accurately, with quality, and at a proper work pace
- Review employer policies with individuals and ensure that these are enforced at the workplace
- Ensure participants shows a good level of interpersonal skills with management, co-workers, and customers
- Communicate with case managers to ensure that established work goals are met.
- Provide work support related to the tasks assigned as required.
- Review monthly goals with the assigned participants and communicate progress to case manager
- Communicate with SEP manager and case manager and planning team any information regarding individual work performance and / or concerns in a timely manner.
- Conduct time study evaluation on individuals by observing and measuring their work productivity
- Utilizes last 15-20 minutes of the session to record observations and document progress daily
- Communicate the attendance of each assigned participant to the case manager
- Advocate to the employer the participants' needs and supports required.
- Attend meetings and trainings as required.
- Prepares pertinent documentation and ensures compliance with deadlines
- Reports work incidents and accidents to the program manager and ensure that participants receive necessary aid
- Maybe be assigned to other work sites as requested by program manager for subbing and or reassignment.
- Promote positive and professional company image and demonstrate team effort
- Ensures compliance to The Roland Center policies, protocols, and procedures
- Ensures accuracy of participant information and hours on SETWorks
- Perform other duties as assigned by the program manager
- The physical ability to safely operate vehicles, including passenger cars, vans and vehicles equipped with a wheelchair lift

Facilitation of Services - The employee demonstrates sufficient knowledge to fulfill the role related to individual service plan development, implementation, and review :Demonstrates an understanding of the person-centered planning process.Identifies how goals / objectives are developed and who is involved in developing program goals, based on individual preferences for meaningful activities.Honors ethical principles (e.g., informed permission, confidentiality), collaborates with the client and support team (including family / friends), and recognizes personal limitations.Identifies and reports important information to coworkers, supervisors and extended interdisciplinary team members as needed.Communicates with, asks questions of, and receives feedback from management, the Administrator, and Regional Center Service Coordinators.Maintains a positive relationship with members of the individual's support networks and community entities.Implements the person-centered plan based on the individual's preferences, needs and interests.Assists and / or facilitates in the achievement of the individual's outcomes as identified in the person-centered plan.Implements individualized plans that address the challenging behaviors of the individuals supported, if needed.Implements individualized activities with accuracy and consistency.Recognizes and respects individuals' right to decline participation in programs, without allowing it to hinder motivation and participationOrganizes time and efficiently to implement various activities.Maintains records of activity participation on data sheets or in progress notes.Records behavior incidents on behavioral data sheets / incident report forms, as directed by the Manager.Records necessary information in daily logs in a timely manner.Records and summarizes program data on monthly summaries, when required to do so.2. Communication - The position is knowledgeable about the range of effective communication strategies and skills necessary to establish a collaborative relationship with the individual :Utilize effective, sensitive communication skills to establish rapport and communication channels by acknowledging and accommodating the diversity of individual communication styles.Identifies one or more techniques or alternative communication strategies that staff should use, if having difficulty communicating with a person.Employ communication methods that are suitable for the communication requirements of individuals, such as electronic communication boards, facilitated communication, and sign language.I. Documentation / Administrative Requirements - the position is aware of the requirements for documentation and can meet these and other administrative requirements efficiently :Maintains accurate individual records, collecting, compiling, and evaluating data and submitting records to appropriate sources in a timely manner.Carries out safety and risk management requirements, according to the agency's expectations, as directed by the Senior DSP and Service Coordinator.II.
