San Ignacio University is seeking for a dynamic and proactive Student Services Coordinator to join the Academic Team.
Position Description
Reporting to the Dean Of Academic Affairs, the Student Services Coordinator is responsible for student academic satisfaction, placement, and retention. The Student Services Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and tracking student attendance, academic progress (traditional, online, hybrid), uses retention data to implement innovative retention programs and services for new, at risk, and enrolled students. Also, participate in recruiting and community awareness activities. The Student Services Coordinator engages in opportunities to increase and share knowledge to improve counseling resources, strategies, and university policies and procedures
Essential Functions
- Work with the University leadership in the design and implementation of comprehensive career service programs for students.
2. Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment plan, addressing both undergraduate and graduate populations to meet SIU placement.
- Establish workshops and support in resume writing, interviewing skills and job placement, including the update of employment opportunities posted in the SIU Job Wall.
- Interact with the Program Coordinators and outside agencies in the collection and reporting of statistical employment and placement data of graduates.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with current and prospective employers in recruiting students from SIU.
- Create and maintain student community hours, scholarship, and internship programs with outside organizations.
- Promote positive image and external relations for SIU.
- Work with SIU leadership to advise on student retention and completion strategies.
- Develop and analyze proactive metrics that support monitoring of student demographics.
- Maintain updated binders with the required documentation and reports to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Ensure timely submission of reporting to accrediting agencies ACICS and CIE with CAR.
- Responsible for planning and organizing students graduation.
- Responsible for the follow-up of placement of graduates of the various programs according to established accreditation criteria.
- Update and organize all related forms to inform placement rates in coordination with the Registrar Department.
- Propose and control the department’s budget.
- Collaborate with the Academics Department supporting Study Tours Logistics such as securing hotel, transportation, receiving students, and any other logistics needed for prospective students.
- Collaborate with the Academics Department in the planning and execution of the study aboard programs: especially, Disney Program.
- Any other task directed by the Academic Coordinator.

Position Requirements
1. Master's degree in student affairs administration, human resources, education, psychology, or related fields. Master’s degree preferable or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. A minimum of five (5) years of supervision experience.
3. Three (3) years of proactive management experience, preferably in developing and implementing recruitment strategies.
4. Bilingual/Spanish required.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office: Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 per year
