Summer Camp, Explore Apprenticeship Camp Director

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with three years successful teaching experience or work experience in the camp discipline sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
• 2 or more years of formal/informal academic teaching experience with youth with effective classroom management skills (volunteer experience considered).
• Information technology literacy skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Responsible, punctual, friendly, and enthusiastic.
• Be able to commit to work for 6 or more weeks at various site locations.
• Clean Driving Record and must have own form of reliable transportation.
• Willing to undergo background check and training.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Teacher certification in science, technology, or math is preferred.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Four or more years of teaching academic courses for elementary, middle, and/or high school students in a public or private ISD setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics concepts
• First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
  
  

Working Information

Position pays $50/hr. Classes will take place from approximately from March 29 to June 28, 2025. Time 7:30 am -3:00 pm on Saturdays. 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Tuesdays online.

Teaching site locations are San Jacinto College’s North, Central and South campuses.
