San Joaquin Engineering is currently seeking a qualified Assistant Civil Engineer for its Bakersfield office. We have an immediate need for a staff member who can participate in numerous land development projects.
Position works under the direction of a licensed civil engineer, and will perform various engineering studies and calculations. Assist with project engineering, including design, plan production, bid document preparation; construction administration, construction & site management.
Additional duties include the preparation of feasibility studies and other engineering reports. Typical duties may include working independently to design and prepare water plans, gravity sanitary sewer plans, storm drain collection system plans, street improvement plans, and other civil improvements. Administration of construction contracts, including preparation of progress payment estimates and contract change orders and construction site visits to determine contract compliance. Attend public hearings and work with agency staff, as required for project processing.
Job Requirements :
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Appropriate work experience may substitute for formal schooling.
