Job Summary:
We are seeking a part-time, highly organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to our team. The ideal candidate will be a committed Christian with a heart for youth ministry and a desire to contribute to the mission of Youth for Christ. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in standard office software, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Please note, this position is in office.
Essential Duties:
- Executive Director Support: Manage communications (email, phone, mail), maintain calendars, schedule appointments, prepare meeting materials, take minutes, manage donor/staff/volunteer information, and act as a gatekeeper.
- Events: Assist with planning and executing fundraising events (e.g., luncheons), including logistics, publicity, and coordination.
- Office Management: Manage the donor database (Bloomerang), input financial data(QuickBooks), oversee office maintenance and supplies, ensure YFC Chartering compliance, maintain staff files, and stay updated on relevant guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
General & Spiritual Expectations:
- Maintain a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, demonstrating a biblically-principled lifestyle (see YFC Lifestyle Standards).
- Maintain good attendance and work schedule, communicating variations.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in all-staff ministry/fundraising events (unless excused).
- Be actively involved in a local church.
- Fully embrace and support the YFC vision, mission, and statement of faith.
- As associate ministers of the Gospel, employees are expected to:
- Seek God's guidance through prayer and meditation.
- Model empathy, humility, and care.
- Pursue commissioning/licensing/ordination as a minister through YFC or an approved outside body.
Position Qualifications:
- Skills: Service-oriented, highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent communication(written & verbal), professional, discreet, proactive, and computer literate (MicrosoftOffice, Bloomerang, Canva, Dropbox, social media). Ability to learn new software.
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands for clerical tasks, liftup to 25 lbs, and possess adequate vision and hearing.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience working with a non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with database management software.
- Experience with social media management.
Hours:
This is a part-time position, approximately 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9AM and 6PM. Flexibility may be required for occasional evening or weekend events.
