What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance position at San José Unified School District?
Salary: $42.25 an hour
The impact you will have: The Lead Maintenance worker performs a variety of skilled maintenance and repair duties, which will vary based on assigned role and may include automotive, carpentry, electrical, low-voltage, glazing, HVAC-R, painting, and/or plumbing services to ensure facilities, vehicles, and/or equipment are safe and support an enriching educational environment for our students, staff, and community. The Lead Maintenance worker applies best practices to complete repairs safely, on-time, with a customer service mindset, and in alignment with San José Unified standards and procedures. Who you are: You have prior experience performing skilled or semi-skilled maintenance work related to electrical or low-voltage service. You have strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to efficiently coordinate, prioritize, and plan the work of self and others. You are able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships.
What you need for this position:
- Completion of 12th grade or equivalent
- California driver's license
- Forklift certification
