What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Bilingual Transitional Kindergarten Teacher (TK) 2025-2026 position at San José Unified School District?
The impact you will have: As an instructional leader you will support our transitional kindergarten students in becoming bilingual and biliterate citizens and developing their academic, language, and social skills. What you need to be qualified?
- Multiple Subject Credential with Spanish Bilingual Authorization
- Completion of 24 units in ECE / child development be the end of your second year with San José Unified
- To apply, you must have at least 6 units already completed OR have worked at least one year as a para educator / teacher assistant in a preschool classroom
- Unit requirement can be waived if you have been a full-time preschool teacher for at least one year or part-time preschool teacher for at least two years

- Resume and letter of introduction outlining your desire and qualifications for this position
- Two (2) letters of reference from prior supervisors
- Transcripts of your undergraduate degree including any early childhood education / child development units, and graduate degrees if applicable. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application purposes only.
- Test results: please attach CSET results and evidence of meeting the Basic Skills Requirement, such as CBEST, PRAXIS, SAT or ACT results
- Spanish Bilingual Authorization
