Position Overview
This Maintenance Staff position is responsible for the general maintenance and cleanup of SAP Center and Tech CU Arena before, during, and after events. This position plays a crucial role in delivering a positive experience for all attendees by maintaining the highest standards of facility upkeep and operational support. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for interior facility maintenance, including, but not limited to, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and surface cleaning throughout the facilities during and after events
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all areas throughout the event, including restrooms, concourses, and seating areas.
- Provide on-site maintenance support during events, promptly addressing issues such as spills.
- Remove waste trash and recyclables and dispose in proper locations
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms as assigned
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift leads, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Participate in the teardown and clean-up of event spaces, including removal of trash, cleaning surfaces, disassembly of tables and chairs, and returning spaces to their standard layout
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
- Ability to process information in an organized and efficient manner
- Ability to think and react quickly in any situation
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and crouch for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 25lbs with or without accommodation
- Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
- Must be able to perform physical activities for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to perform tasks that may involve working at heights
