Position Overview:
Sharks and Barracuda Street Team presented by Coca-Cola, under the direction of the Manager, Marketing Programs and Mascot Operations is a part-time staff responsible for the execution of hockey-specific events and programs for the San Jose Sharks and San Jose Barracuda, other marketing initiatives, as well as providing staffing assistance for San Jose Barracuda game nights.
- Lead and instruct Team Teal Street hockey clinics at local schools, after school programs, and community centers.
- Provide marketing presence at Team Teal community outreach appearances at festivals, fairs, team events, and other events as needed.
- Lead and instruct Team Teal marketing, education and fan development programming at local schools, after school programs, and community centers.
- In office and miscellaneous game duties as requested by Sharks or Barracuda (mailings, distribution, event preparation, etc.)
- Provide staffing assistance on Barracuda home game nights by staffing concourse tables within the Frenzy Fun Zone, fulfilling fan experiences, assisting with youth hockey intermissions, etc. as needed. (Staff must commit to a minimum of 29 Barracuda Pre and regular season Game Dates and all playoff games.)
- Must be available to work 20 hours per week including days, evenings, weekends, and events as needed depending on event schedule.
- Must be able to work 29 Barracuda Pre and regular season Game Dates and all playoff games.
- Mus be 18 years or older
- Must Reside in the Bay Area we are unable to pay for relocation or travel expenses.

- Clean DMV record and ability to pass a standard background check.
- Establish and maintain rapport within and outside of the organization.
- Must have an upbeat outgoing attitude and outlook on work.
- Previous experience working with or a desire to work with children is a plus.
- Previous experience coaching children is a plus.
- Comfortable in handling and managing money
- Outgoing, enthusiastic personality; enjoys working as a part of a team
- Being able to think and react quickly in any situation
- Ability to provide hockey instruction
- Must be a self-starter and team player possessing a friendly, positive demeanor
- Ability to operate, transport, and manipulate certain equipment up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Ability to bend at the waist, reach overhead and lift up to 15 lbs with or without accommodation.
- Physically navigate stairs and catwalks at SSE facilities during normal work hours and events with or without accommodation
- Must be able to go up and down stairs multiple times in a shift.
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time inside and outside.
