Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of food preparation, presentation, and service.
- Create Daily Specials: Work closely with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal and creative daily specials that meet the preferences of our members while maintaining kitchen efficiency.
- Expediting Service: Manage the pass and expedite orders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in every dish served. Ensure all orders are coordinated and served in a timely and professional manner.
- Quality Control: Monitor food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are maintained. Maintain the highest levels of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation in accordance with local regulations.
- Staff Training & Development: Train and mentor kitchen staff on best practices, new menu items, and techniques to ensure high standards of food preparation and kitchen safety.
- Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and keeping stock levels in line with kitchen needs, ensuring that the kitchen operates without interruptions.
- Ensure Cleanliness & Safety: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including all cooking equipment, surfaces, and storage areas, and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed.
- Collaboration & Communication: Foster positive relationships with other departments, including front-of-house staff, to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
Proven experience as a Kitchen Supervisor, Sous Chef, or in a similar kitchen management role, preferably in a country club, hotel, or fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to create, develop, and implement specials that meet the expectations of members.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
