What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Electrician position at San Jose State University?
The Low Voltage Electrician, assigned to the Utilities Shop within the Energy, Utilities & Sustainability unit of Facilities Development & Operations works independently or as a team member under the general supervision of the Utilities Shop Supervisor. The Low Voltage Electrician performs a full range of skilled journey- level electrical and related work including the installation, maintenance, modification, troubleshooting and repair of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems and is responsible for a full range of journey-level skilled work in fire alarm, sub-metering and access / security systems (i.e. keyless entry, intrusion / panic alarms) to ensure a clean, safe, attractive and well-maintained campus environment.
