Position Summary
This position is a direct report of the Chief Information Officer and is part of the San Juan College IT Leadership team. This position works with the workstream team coordinators, the Workday implementation team, third party consultants, the CHESS Program Management Office and Project Managers, ensure communication of program deadlines and deliverables. Ensure all deadlines are met. Update project plans and report accomplishments and issues. Address project risks and implement identified mitigation plans. Track issues, update solutions, and escalate as needed.
This is a 3-year temporary position, and there is possibly of working remote with occasional on campus and other travel locations based on the need of the implementation.
MAJOR DUTIES

- Cutover Plan development
- Gold/Pre-Production tenant build

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the technical workstream projects

- Ensure that the technical leads integrate and coordinate with their respective business partners
- Daily team meetings (as required)
- Bi-weekly technical lead meetings

- Project/program status reporting achieved thru Smartsheet dashboards maintained by the PMs
- All artifacts and communications will be completed within the established MS Teams channels
- Coordinate with the other Workstream Leads
- Directing 4 direct Staff Members (1 dotted lined) and student employees
- Coordinate with the other San Juan College IT Directors
- While the majority of this position is on Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP)/Student Information’s Systems (SIS) Implementation, it will including other related projects.

- Investigate, analyze, and make recommendations for technologies that align with our Workday environment.
- In coordination with the San Juan College CIO, represent the CIO in the implementation.
- Devotes a majority of work time to supervisory duties; Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more other employees.
- Makes recommendations to hire, promote, and discipline direct reports.
- Conducts annual performance reviews of all direct reports.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Chief Information Officer assigns work in terms of department goals and objectives. The supervisor reviews work through conferences, reports, and observation of department activities.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include all Federal, State and Local laws, statues policies and procedures as well as San Juan College security policies, FERPA industry best practices, social media guidelines, and college and department policies and procedures. These guidelines require judgment, selection, and interpretation in application. The position develops departmental guidelines.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of varied complex duties that impact key information systems for the College. Frequent changes to industry standards and technology updates contribute to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to direct the colleges ERP/SIS Implementation, managing multiple workstream projects. Success in this position results in the positive implementation of the ERP/SIS systems.

- The work is typically performed at a desk or table while intermittently sitting, standing or stooping.

SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
This position has direct supervision over the Application Architect (1), Software Engineer (1), and the Testing Manager (1), as well as partial supervision of the CRM Specialist (1).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business with IT or project planning focus or other course of study related to the occupational field.
- Five to seven years of relevant experience is required. Master’s degree in previously referenced fields is preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience and experience with a higher education is required.
- Knowledge of a broad range of computer technologies.
- Current and demonstrated high level knowledge in application and software systems, Preferable with Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP)/Student Information Systems(SIS) is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in Large Scale Projects.
