ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides individual therapy based on case information to San Juan College students; documents therapy sessions; refers students to local mental health agencies.
- Provides crisis intervention services.
- Participates in weekly counseling staff sessions; reviews case information and discusses counseling issues and concerns.
- Oversees and monitors the colleges virtual counseling program (UWill)
- If assigned to serve on the college’s Behavioral Intervention Team, provides psychological/behavioral perspective as needed.
- Provides consultative support to the college’s Behavioral Intervention Team as needed.
- Develops, publicizes, and delivers mental health presentations or workshops.
- Develops, implements and maintains on-going mental health outreach efforts.
- Works with counseling team to develop, update, and maintain counseling policies and protocols.
- Maintain current licensure requirements.
- Performs related duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Holds current Master’s Degree level or higher NM License in a clinical mental health field such as: LISW, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
- Has at least 1 year of counseling experience directly related to the duties specified as a fully licensed, independent counselor.
