Position Overview :
The KinderClub Coordinator (KCC) oversees the daily operations of the Transitional Kindergarten / Kindergarten (TK / K) program (ages 4-6), focusing on delivering comprehensive, outcome-driven services. The KCC is a compassionate, kind, and caring leader who motivates and inspires Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) to perform at their best when working with children.
The KCC should have a deep respect and love for children, enabling them to work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to ensure the highest quality of learning for children. This role requires creating a harmonious and satisfying working environment for the staff.
The ideal candidate will balance boldness and humility in supporting and leading the staff. Key responsibilities include the daily running and administration of TK / K, adhering to company policies and procedures, and ensuring a high standard of care and education. Additionally, the KCC will partner with the Program Manager and Site Safety & Operations Coordinator (SSOC) to implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for children and staff.
Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions :
Leadership and Staff Management :
- Manage the delivery of high-quality and inspirational early years care and education.
- Ensure compliance with BGCSL policy in all aspects of TK / K programming.
- Lead the TK / K team with compassion and humility, ensuring YDPs are inspired and committed.
- Ensure events, processes, and procedures are completed within deadlines.
- Develop and maintain an environment of reflective practice across TK / K programming.
- Assign and deploy YDPs to support program delivery at school sites and the Clubhouse as needed.
- Provide support to YDPs reflecting BGCSL's mission, vision, and values.
- Partner with the Learning & Development Team to create a comprehensive onboarding training program for YDPs.
- Work with the Program Manager and Learning & Development Director to support training experiences, including assessments and feedback mechanisms for YDPs.
