What are the responsibilities and job description for the Butcher position at San Lorenzo Foods LLC?
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Expert knowledge of all meat cuts, grinding, deboning, weighing, packaging etc.
- Know how to operate electric band saws, grinder, slicer and dicing machine.
- Maintain effective working relationship with USDA inspectors
- Follow, enforce and provide input on sustainable meat policies/ protocols
- Proactively identify real and potential problems with staff especially the production helper.
- Knowledge to operate electric and manual pallet jack
- Responsibility for the highest standards of safety and cleanliness and staying compliant with all USDA guidelines
- Proper labeling of boxes with processed meat for delivery
- Works safely at all times and follow all established safety guidelines and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least one (1) year experience on related job
- Must be a team player
- Must be able work on a cold environment with 40 to 50 degrees temperature
- Must be able to stand long hours
- Must be able to lift 40 to 70 pounds with or without assistance
- Must be able to work from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Must be able to work from Monday to Friday
- Must be able to work overtime if needed
- Must be detailed oriented of USDA Meat inspection regulations
- Must have legal authorization to work
