Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Transportation Professional to join our team as a School Bus Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students on designated routes, maintaining order among passengers, and adhering to District policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a school bus daily over designated routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs while prioritizing student safety.
- Maintain order and discipline among passengers, enforcing District policies regarding student control and communication with parents.
- Inspect the bus prior to operation, reporting any mechanical defects or concerns to maintain a safe environment.
- Keep the bus clean, completing daily reports on its condition and assigned route.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues, following District procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's license (Class B-P) and School Bus Driver Certificate.
- At least six months of experience as a bus driver or one year of truck driving experience, with equivalent skills and qualifications.
- Familiarity with Safe Driving Practices, California Motor Vehicle Code, Education Code, and First Aid principles.
