Custodian Substitute

CLASS TITLE: CUSTODIAN RANGE: 33 BASIC FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, maintain assigned areas and buildings of the District in a clean, sanitary and safe condition during a swing or night shift. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and one year custodial experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Some positions in this classification may require a California Driver’s License. ENVIRONMENT: Indoor and outdoor work environment. Regular exposure to fumes, dust and odors. Evening or variable hours. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate custodial equipment. Climbing ladders to replace lights. Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and moving heavy furniture and equipment. Walking or standing for extended periods. Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching. Reaching overhead, above the shoulders and horizontally. Seeing to perform custodial duties.
