Position: Banquet Captain

Overview: A Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a banquet event, including staff management, ensuring proper setup and service of food and beverages, coordinating with clients on event details, and guaranteeing the smooth execution of the event from start to finish, essentially acting as the lead contact for the banquet team during the event.
Job Duties:
- Lead a team of banquet servers, ensuring they are properly trained, assigned tasks, and delivering high-quality service through the event.
- Oversee the setup of the banquet space, including tables, chairs, linens, and any necessary decorations.
- Monitor the flow of food and beverage service, ensuring timely delivery and proper presentation of dishes.
- Address guest concerns, anticipate needs, and provide exceptional member service throughout the event.
- Ensure the banquet space is cleaned and properly broken down after the event.
- Act as a liaison between the client, kitchen staff, and banquet team, communicating important information and addressing any issues that arise.
- Maintain high standards of service and ensure adherence to established banquet procedures.
- Performs other appropriate tasks as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma.
- Ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and details simultaneously while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Familiarity with banquet service standards, food and beverage presentation, and event setup procedures.
- Clear and concise communication to effectively convey information to staff and clients.
Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 hourly
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
