What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting/Payroll Technician position at San Luis Obispo County Office of Education?
Provide fiscal support to assigned accounts and functions such as account payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and purchasing. Perform entry level to advanced internal and external accounting duties in the review, evaluation and adjustment of assigned County Office and district accounts. Prepare and maintain financial and statistical records and files. Required:
-High school diploma or equivalent
-One year clerical accounting experience.
-Proven ability to read, interpret and apply sound judgement to a variety of documents, financial and statistical records.
-Demonstrated experience in spreadsheet computer applications.
Desired:
-AA degree in Accounting.
-Experience in a school district, county office of education, or governmental agency.
-CASBO, ACSA, or related school business certifications.
