The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Director of Housekeeping functions in his/her absence.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for administering and coordinating housekeeping functions in assigned sections, as well as assuming all Director of Housekeeping functions in his/her absence.
Responsibilities
- Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents presented through reservations, comment cards, letters and/or phone calls, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner. Follow up to ensure guest satisfaction.
- In the absence of the Director of Housekeeping, motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Housekeeping personnel according to Landry’s Hotel Division Fundamentals of Management.
- Maintain a regular cleaning program (i.e. floor care, hard cleaning, mattress flipping, etc.) and maintain a detailed checklist for each position.
- Assist in maintaining and controlling all housekeeping equipment.
- Ensure compliance of all Safety standards.
- Ensure that large guestroom turns are managed efficiently.
- Ensure consistency with departmental opening and closing procedures.
- Assist Director of Housekeeping in preparing and conducting Housekeeping interviews as required and follow hiring procedures.
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
- College course work in related field helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
