PAY & BENEFITS
Pay: $27.43 - $31.92 per hour

YOUR TYPICAL DAY
As a Medical Credentialing Specialist, your day begins by reviewing and auditing credentialing applications for accuracy and completeness. You update provider information in online databases, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. As you track licenses, certifications, and renewal dates, you collaborate with HR and billing teams to streamline onboarding and resolve credentialing-related issues. From submitting revalidation requests to preparing monthly audit reports, your work ensures our providers are ready to deliver exceptional care to the community.
THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICAL CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of professional work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and credentialing software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Degree or certification in medical billing and coding or another related field
- CPCS certification
SCHEDULE & LOCATION
This full-time role operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, primarily based in Alamosa, CO, with potential travel to other offices as needed during active credentialing periods.
