Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) is sought after to join our Med/Surg department at San Luis Valley Health. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients, triage and assess patient needs, and ensure adequate care and nursing standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to all patients in the respective unit
- Triage and assess patient needs to ensure adequate care and nursing standards are met
- Observe and initiate appropriate nursing treatments
- Report symptoms and conditions of patients to medical staff
- Assist with invasive procedures, administer medications, document, and assist other staff members on the team
Requirements:
- Associate degree in nursing or higher
- Ability to administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques
- Responding to all situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol
- Documenting nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients
