The Recruitment Manager at San Luis Valley Health is responsible for all activities in relation to physician and APP recruiting, including sourcing of candidates, site visit coordination, assisting with contracts, and coordinating with appropriate staff, relocation, and orientation process.

What You’ll Do :
Conduct physician and allied health manpower planning for owned and affiliated clinics to develop and maintain a short and long-term medical staff recruitment plan, timely, confidentially where required and with effective teamwork skills in serving as a liaison between SLV Health and physician staff members and candidates.Direct and conduct physician and allied health recruitment sourcing activities in conjunction with respective department physicians and management staff; including cold calling; mass mailings, advertisements, attending conferences to identify candidates; working with recruitment firms as approved; verifying candidates' credentials and checking references.Assist in developing and coordinating short and long-term strategies to maximize SLV Health's effectiveness in recruiting and retaining excellence in physician and allied health manpower.Provide a clearinghouse for all physician and allied health search efforts, developing vacancy profiles and candidate profiles with appropriate physician and management staff; and serving as a broker to outside recruiters in compliance with negotiated search agreements. This position will identify which recruitment companies will partner with SLV Health in the recruitment process that meets or exceeds the quality of physician and allied health personnel as determined by the PLC and Senior Management.Direct and coordinate candidates' itineraries; including assisting in setting up meetings with appropriate medical / management staff; hotel reservations; car rentals if necessary; tours of clinic / hospital campus; meal arrangements; real estate tours; and process reimbursable receipts and send to AP for processing.Direct and complete follow-up in all searches including the coordination of the formal offer, scheduling telephone conferences or other meetings with appropriate team members as necessary to resolve any contract closing issues; processing all sign-on, loan, moving allowance or other payable issues for approval by appropriate Senior Team Member and coordinating with Human Resources and Accounts Payable.Assist in the coordination of licensing, DEA and credentialing activities once a candidate has completed the Employment Agreement process ensuring that there is no delay in the process. Assist in coordination of pre-start date meetings so surgeons are working with appropriate O.R. Department staff members in developing preference cards and the determination of instrument / equipment needs prior to arrival and Department Directors so that physician and allied health staff will have start up issues resolved prior to start date.Conduct physician and allied health staff recruitment planning process to develop and maintain ongoing short and long term Physician Recruitment Plan.Manage locum tenens hiring with locum tenens agencies and independent contractors; arrange / assist with location of temporary housing and transportation needs.Work closely with the appropriate Senior Management team member, management staff and physician in communicating status of searches, candidate activities and pre-employment credentialing issues. Teamwork skills required in developing relations with credentialing staff so barriers are identified and resolved to prevent unnecessary delays in start dates.Participate in state and national physician recruitment associations as approved by supervisor.We Take Care of Our People
