We are looking for a extraordinary, customer service focused individual to join the SAN MAR Properties team as a full time maintenance technician who will also assist with doing grounds around the property. We strive on providing the necessary tools all staff need to help them reach their goals.
What you will be doing in a nutshell:
Responsible for maintaining, cleaning and repaired condition of the property interior and exterior. Provide support. Perform necessary repairs and preventive maintenance as required by the needs of the property.
SERVICE AND SUPERVISION:
Support and comply with company policies and procedures
Perform repairs to turn units in a timely manner
Assist in grounds and custodial work in common areas and vacancies when necessary, including:
Sweeping
Mopping
Vacuuming
Empty trash
Cleaning windows, etc.
Perform:
Electrical repairs
Plumbing work
Replace screens
Garbage disposals
Locks
Appliances
Paint
Carpentry
Comply with all OSHA regulations regarding health, safety or environment
Assist manager and office staff as needed
Assist in apartment follow up inspections
Perform any other duties as requested
- Be cooperative in helping at another site when needed and be flexible to transfer to another property (if needed)
- Strong customer service/satisfaction philosophy
- Maintain a courteous and helpful attitude to residents, potential residents and co-workers

- Order maintenance supplies with the approval of the manager
- Ensure good customer service
- Maintain property for good curb appeal
- Know the location of gas and water meter emergency cut offs, all apartment and fixture cut offs and sewer clean outs
- Ensure building lights and timers are working properly
- Responsible for keeping maintenance shop clean and in order at all times and locked when not in use
- Continuously inspect the property for safety hazards
- Perform work order requests with “same day completion” in mind
- Maintain a positive relationship with residents
Requirements for all positions:
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of Vehicle Insurance
- Background checks including criminal, DMV and credit will be run on qualified candidates. We will also verify past employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
