Job Description / Essential Elements :
TITLE - Teacher, ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
A. Credential
1.California credential authorizing elementary instruction
B.Education
1. Sufficient to meet credential requirements
C.Experience
None required
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
A.Knowledge of and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social and education concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities listed on this job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Select and order supplemental materials
2.Attend job-related meetings and activities
3.Perform other duties as directed by the administration
RELATIONSHIPS
1.Cooperates with school administration in providing displays and programs for the school and community, and in sponsoring fairs, clubs, and contests
2.Communicates with parents and school counselors on the individual pupil's progress
3.Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day
4.Identifies pupil needs, and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and
helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems
5. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school of assignment
and / or on a District level. May teach under modular or flexible scheduling plans
PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PARTICIPATION
1.Performs basic attendance accounting and business services as required
2.Shares in the sponsorship of student activities and participates in faculty committees
3.May plan and coordinate the work of aides, teacher assistants, or other professionals
4.Maintains professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by the District and / or in self-selected professional growth activities

Requirements / Qualifications
California Multiple Teaching Subject Credential Required
If you do not have a posted credential, please attach a letter (Does not need to be from a University) that states you are currently enrolled in a program, and list your expected graduation date.
EL English Learner Authorization -(CLAD, ELEA, ELAS, ELA 1, BCLAD accepted) Required
Most EL authorizations are embedded on the Credential, if this is the case please attach a copy of your credential to the EL section of your Ed-Join application)

This is a Temporary contracted position for the 2024 / 2025 school year.
The position will work 5 days a week at 7.5 hours per day
