Do you want to work with a team that's focused on cooperation and service? San Miguel Power Association, Inc. (SMPA) is seeking to fill the position of Key Accounts & Projects Executive. The successful applicant will report to our Ridgway office location within our beautiful service territory.
SMPA is a non-profit electric cooperative with an 80-year record of service to our membership. SMPA includes a positive atmosphere, a culture rooted in safety and teamwork, a 4-10 work schedule, the ability to telecommute and offers an excellent salary and benefits package.

Job Summary
This position:
- Will build positive and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders, members, and staff in order to successfully manage SMPA's key accounts program.
- Champions SMPA's economic development initiatives and programs.
- Educates and promotes beneficial electrification, energy efficiency, renewable energy, grid resilience and general energy industry information to key accounts.
- Provides project management and grant administration for SMPA.
- Requires strong public speaking, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Minimum Job Specifications
This job requires:
- Exemplary interpersonal, customer service, and relationship management experience.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business or related field or the equivalent of education and experience.
- 3 or more years' of experience in program and project management and/or experience in the electric utility/energy industry is preferred.
- Strong analytical and planning skills, creativity, and self-motivation.
- Proficiency with online programs, social media, mobile devices and applications.
- Experience with grant writing and implementation, negotiating and executing contracts, and construction management experience is preferred.
- Excellent computer and organizational skills.
- Public speaking skills and strong communication, both written and oral.
- To Represent the co-op in a progressive, positive, and professional manner in all relationships, both internal and external.
- A valid Colorado driver's license.
