About Us:
The San Patricio Municipal Water District is seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our team.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills and experience in civil or environmental engineering, with a strong focus on water resources management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise the preparation of engineering documents, including drawings, contract proposals, material lists, and specifications
- Review and check designs, calculations, contractors' shop drawings, and engineering drawings for construction, repair, and maintenance projects
- Select and use computer software to develop engineering and mathematical analysis of design problems
- Direct field crews engaged in a variety of engineering construction, maintenance, and repair activities on projects
Requirements:
- Degree from an ABET accredited program in Civil or Environmental Engineering or similar engineering field
- Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE)
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Registration by the State of Texas as an Engineer-in-Training, or Professional Engineer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in water treatment design
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, lake and stream water quality issues, earthwork and grading plans, permitting
