Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients across various age groups, including Adolescents. Your expertise in psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and medication management will be essential in promoting the mental well-being of our patients. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outpatient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and assessments of patients with mental health disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Provide supportive psychotherapy and medication management to patients, ensuring adherence to treatment protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care providers and specialists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize eClinicalWorks for patient documentation and management of electronic health records.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
- Cover administrative duties for the Chief when out of the office (patient messages, urgent visits and scheduling requests.)
Qualifications
- Current certification/License as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Kansas.
- Experience in outpatient settings is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
- Strong background in diagnostic evaluation, including the ability to assess complex psychiatric conditions.
- Understanding of complex needs for those with PTSD and LGBTQIA concerns.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.

Pay: $58.00 - $65.00 per hour
