- Patient Preparation:Prepare exam rooms, ensure cleanliness and organization, and gather necessary supplies and equipment.
- Vital Signs:Measure and record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration.
- Patient History:Interview patients, record medical histories, and update patient records.
- Assisting with Exams:Assist physicians during examinations, procedures, and treatments, such as preparing patients, handing instruments, and providing support.
- Sample Collection:Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, including drawing blood and collecting urine samples.
- Medication Administration:Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare provider, following established protocols.
- Basic Lab Procedures:Perform basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose tests.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Answering Phones: Answer phones, screen calls, and direct patients to appropriate personnel.
- Front Desk Duties: Greet patients, check them in and out, and handle general inquiries.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
