The maintenance/facilities team plays a critical role in providing a safe, clean, comfortable, functional and aesthetically pleasing environment at Buchert Ridge Community (BRC)/ Sanatoga Ridge Community (SRC). This team enables our residents who live in our community to live an enriched and vibrant life while leaving the worry of maintaining a home to us. *Specific Duties and Responsibilities * * Perform general maintenance duties including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting work as necessary * Drywall Repair * Appliance repair/installation * General Carpentry Skills * Responsible for completing assigned work orders * Be a good steward of supplies and equipment * Attend and actively participate in required meetings * Implement preventive maintenance measures * Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies * Perform other duties as requested * Assist other departments as needed; All other duties as assigned * Snow Team (to be determined by manager) * On-Call Responsibilities (part of the on-call rotation) *Required skills* * Patience and understanding especially as it pertains to seniors * At least 2 years of general field experience * Valid Driver’s License; High school diploma/GED required * Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted * Ability to climb 30-foot ladder * Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, small hand tools, power tools * Effective communication skills * Time management skills * Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision * Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures * Independent Problem-Solving Skills; Identify a Problem, Identify an idea for a Solution * Attention to detail * Ability to multi-task * Team Player * Ability and willingness to increase knowledge related to duties * Excellent Organizational Skills * Maintain a clean and safe work environment * Contribute to a safe and positive environment * Ability to work well with others; gossip free environment * Demonstrate inspiration, and energy to the team * Willingness to be available for community emergencies as able Sanatoga Ridge and Buchert Ridge Communities are committed to providing outstanding customer service to our residents.
