We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Athletic Director to lead our 6-12 athletic programs at Sanborn Regional Middle School and Sanborn Regional High School. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a positive culture within the athletic department and larger community through collaboration. The Athletic Director is committed to promoting a healthy, positive and active lifestyle among students.
Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the athletic program at the middle and high school which includes managing budgets, coordinating events, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering an environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic achievement among student-athletes.
Qualifications:
-Master’s Degree in Education, School Administration or related degree preferred.
-New Hampshire License as an Assistant Principal or Principal or NIAAA Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) certification preferred
-Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience in athletic administration or the equivalent.
-Must pass a background check.

Supervises: Athletic Coaches and Game Staff
Performance Responsibilities:
Program Management
-Develop, implement, and monitor athletic programs across various sports.
-Schedule games, practices, and tournaments for all sports teams.
-Coordinate transportation, facilities, and equipment for athletic events.
-Ensure all athletic activities comply with state and national regulations.
Budget and Finance
-Prepare and manage the athletic department’s budget.
-Approve expenditures and allocate resources efficiently.
-Oversee fundraising efforts and seek sponsorships to support athletic programs.
Staff Supervision
-Hire, supervise, and evaluate coaches and other athletic department staff.
-Organize professional development opportunities for coaching staff.
-Ensure coaches are trained in sports medicine and first aid.
-Ensure coaches maintain mandatory certifications.
Student-Athlete Welfare
-Promote academic achievement alongside athletic participation.
-Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes to ensure eligibility.
-Address issues related to student athlete well-being, including mental health, injuries, and conduct.
Compliance and Risk Management
-Ensure compliance with school, district, state, and national athletic regulations.
-Implement and enforce policies related to athlete eligibility, recruitment, and conduct.
-Manage risks associated with sports, including safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Community Relations
-Serve as the liaison between the athletic department and the broader school community, including parents, faculty, and the public.
-Promote the athletic program through public relations efforts, including social media, school newsletters, and local media.
-Organize events such as banquets, award ceremonies, and alumni events.
Facility Management
-Oversee the maintenance and scheduling of athletic facilities.
-Ensure facilities meet safety standards and are equipped for various sports.
-Plan and advocate for facility upgrades or new construction as needed.

-Benefits and Wages as outlined in the Teamsters Local 633 Administrator Collective Bargaining Agreement.
