Minimum starting salary $120,000, negotiable based on experience
Job Summary-Responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing programs and services that support the academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being of students within the school district.
Qualifications
-Master’s Degree in Education, School Administration or related degree
-New Hampshire License as a Special Education Administrator or Superintendent
-Three (3) to five (5) years of professional experience which encompasses teaching and educational leadership that is comparable to the responsibilities of a director of student services.
-Must pass a background check.

Performance Responsibilities
Program Development and Oversight
-design, implement, and evaluate student support programs including special education, Section 504, English Language Learners, McKinney-Vento, Foster care, home education, health services, and intervention initiatives.
-determine and ensure eligibility requirements for students requiring services.
-ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to student services.
-serve as the district’s Title IX Coordinator.
-serve as the district’s Section 504 Coordinator.
-develop and manage policies to address attendance, discipline, and student wellness.
-evaluate all student service programs and recommend changes and additions as needed.
-ensure procedures are in place for early, timely, and continuous identification of students who need services.
-ensure the use of assessment data to make decisions about student services and programs.
-coordinate homebound instruction and tutoring for students who need those services.
Leadership and Collaboration
-provide leadership and guidance to staff and administrators in areas such as special education, Section 504, counseling, and nursing.
-collaborate with administrators, teachers, and other staff to align student services with district goals.
-build partnerships with community organizations to enhance services and resources for students and families.
-work with contracted service and out of district providers to ensure appropriate delivery of services.
-support supervision and provide feedback for evaluations of student services personnel in conjunction with the building principals and assistant directors.
-collaborate with administrators to interview and recommend candidates for student service positions.
-coordinate with administration court-placed students ensuring services according to issued court documents.
Student Support and Advocacy
-advocate for the needs of all students, including those who require student services.
-promote equity, diversity, and inclusion across all student services and programs.
-implement strategies to address barriers to learning and improve overall student outcomes.
-commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and equitable educational environment.
Compliance and Reporting
-monitor and ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in all student services programs.
-prepare and submit required reports and documentation to district leadership and governing bodies.
-develop and is accountable for expenditures and revenues for student services
-make regular status reports on expenditures and revenues to the Superintendent and School Board.
Budget and Resource Management
-develop and manage the budget for student services programs
-allocate resources effectively to support student needs and district goals.
-plan, implement and supervise special education transportation services.
-oversee all federal and state grants for student services
