Daniel J Bakie Elementary School seeks a Long-Term Substitute Library Media Specialist to teach and manage the library in a preK-2nd grade building. Primary responsibilities are with kindergarten through second grade and include teaching library classes to each classroom weekly, helping teachers find resources to support curriculum in the classroom, managing the library circulation and organization, supporting beginning readers and the literacy curriculum and intervention programs, and functioning as part of a larger unified arts program and school staff at the elementary level. Qualified candidates should be certified educators with an understanding of early literacy development and an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
