What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving/Forklift Operator position at Sanco Industries?
We are looking for a motivated individual who is seeking long term employment and a chance for growth in a small company. Over the past 5 years we have had 3 people out grow this position. All three of these employees are still part of our team and have taken on larger roles with higher pay and more responsibility. One has branched off into managing our e-commerce production, one is a production brand manager and the third oversees all production. We are a small chemical manufacturing company based in downtown Fort Wayne, we have hit a large growth spurt in the past three years and we are seeking motivated and responsible employees to add to our team.
Our hours are 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. We do have voluntary overtime and mandatory overtime with a weeks advanced notice. The job is entry level and includes basic training on the specific job at hand. The knowledge of the job and product line will grow with time and motivation. We simply ask that you arrive on time, stay busy and stay learning.
The job includes
- Forklift and hand jack operation is a must
- Picking, packing and labeling specific Purchase Orders
- Basic reading and math are required
- Basic organizational skills are necessary
