Parts Runner

Summary

Under direct supervision, Parts Runner makes deliveries on a daily basis and processes paperwork necessary for recording deliveries, pick-ups, and returns. The delivery of parts is time-sensitive, and the Parts Runner is crucial to the operation of the Parts department, whether he/she is picking up parts for shop jobs or delivering parts to customers.

Essential Functions

• Works closely with the Parts and Service Clerk and the Service Manager at the Thermo King Sales and Service shop to ensure technicians and customers have the required parts
• Checks the Parts Delivery Bin throughout the day and loads the delivery truck in the order parts are to be delivered
• Ensure each part to be delivered has a corresponding invoice
• Deliver parts to the shop and customers on a daily basis
• Picks-up and returns cores and warranty parts, along with the necessary paperwork
• Unload all cores and put them in the core bins
• Processes paperwork necessary for recording deliveries/pick-ups
• Safeguards parts during transit and ensures zero damage
• Maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor towards customers and co-workers

Knowledge

• Requires a high school diploma or general education diploma (GED)
• Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record (willing to obtain a Class A license)
