Responsibilities:
SANCORP is seeking an Indo-Pacific Program Coordinator to support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Partnerships (DASD GP) as the focal point for Security Cooperation and Building Partnership Capacity (BPC), Institutional Capacity subject matter expertise, and the Department of Defense (DoD) to lead to prioritize, integrate, and evaluate bilateral and multilateral SC activities to strengthen U.S. and global security. The following are examples of responsibilities:
- Plans, develops, coordinates, and supports implementation of strategic security cooperation initiatives in the Indo-Pacific AOR, to include security assistance, training, key leader engagements, capability development, and defense industrial cooperative activities.
- Coordinating across all DoD components, agencies, services and throughout the interagency with those which have equities in Indo-Pacific security cooperation initiatives and programs.
- Support DoD and U.S. Government officials for bi-lateral and multi-lateral engagements with allies and partners related to cooperative security programs and initiatives.
- Assisting with the drafting, coordination, and documentation of action memos, information memos, and other correspondence for the Secretary of Defense and other senior leadership related to DoD security cooperation programs and initiatives.
- Develop, coordinate, and document external engagements (public and congressional affairs) through use of fact sheets, background materials, talking points, press releases, and other public statements related to Indo-Pacific security cooperation programs and initiatives – including responses to Members of Congress and mandatory congressional reporting requirements.
- Develop policy and programs to deliver cutting edge commercially available technology, through security cooperation mechanisms, to accomplish strategic policy objectives.
