Education
Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, National Security, Intelligence, History, Criminal justice or related field
Required Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting sensitive activities and national security requirements within DoD or Intelligence Community and mission integration on a military or interagency staff.
- Deep understanding of National Defense Strategy, DoD priorities, intelligence operations, and statutory/policy compliance.
- Ability to analyze intelligence data, identify trends, and develop policy recommendations.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and leadership.
- Familiarity with intelligence tools, systems, and data analysis.
- Oversight/governance, NSC requirements, special access capabilities, policy development, senior-level correspondence, and staff action packages.

Responsibilities:
SANCORP is seeking a National Programs and Policy Support Staff Officer II to provide administrative, policy, operational, and analytic, support to the National Programs and Policy Support Directorate Office within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). The following are examples of responsibilities:
- Provide analysis of intelligence related activities against the National Defense Strategy and the priorities of the Secretary of Defense and USD(I&S).
- Assist leadership in the conduct of oversight and governance, to include staff assistance visits and compliance inspections, for DoD Component activities providing sensitive support to ensure statutory and policy compliance and requisite degrees of effectiveness.
- Conduct research and develop policy recommendations to support the Secretary of Defense, USD(I&S), and other senior officials for decisions involving National Security Council directed requirements.
- Research, coordinate and synchronize special access capabilities and other sensitive activities to provide enhanced operational integration and collaboration across DoD, the Intelligence Community, and broader federal interagency enterprise.
- Prepare reports, briefings, senior-level correspondence, and staff action packages to support OUSD(I&S) requirements.
