A Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, political science, national security, resource management or finance, or other related fields.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in the following areas:
- DoD security cooperation/security assistance program management.
- Planning and facilitation of senior-level (GO/FO/SES) programs and meetings with DoD cross departmental and interagency stakeholders.
- Prior experience working on security assistance to Ukraine or other Allies/partners.
- Prior experience working on DoD acquisition, maintenance, and sustainment issues.

Responsibilities:
SANCORP is seeking a Ukraine Security Assistance Program Analyst to support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Global Partnerships (DASD GP) as the focal point for Security Cooperation and Building Partnership Capacity (BPC), Institutional Capacity subject matter expertise, and the Department of Defense (DoD) to lead to prioritize, integrate, and evaluate bilateral and multilateral SC activities to strengthen U.S. and global security. The following are examples of responsibilities:
- Support to Ukraine Security Assistance Activities. Assisting the Ukraine Pol-Mil Team in developing and securing senior-leader approval for all U.S. security assistance packages to Ukraine. Duties include:
- Coordinating across all DoD components, agencies, services with equity in Ukraine security assistance activities to prepare assistance packages.
- Maintaining detailed documentation on cross-departmental coordination to assist with coordination on Presidential Drawdown, Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, and Foreign Military Financing decisions up to the four-star level.
- Assisting with the drafting of Action Memos, Information Memos, and other correspondence for the Secretary of Defense and other senior leadership related to U.S. assistance packages.
- Organizing logistics for frequent in-person and virtual meetings of the Cross-Departmental Working Group (CDWG), which meets at the O-6, 2-star, and 4-star levels.
- On-site support of meetings to include notetaking, room set-up and tear-down, and attendance monitoring.
- Assisting with set-up of audio/visual, teleconferencing, and video teleconferencing.
- Requesting and compiling data from CDWG participants in advance of each meeting and ensuring the timely and appropriate distribution of read-ahead materials.
- Reviewing incoming correspondence and ensuring timely dissemination to stakeholders for comments and recommendations.
- Maintaining archives of relevant documents and agreements, including comprehensive data logs of U.S. assistance to Ukraine, organized by authority and capability.
- Drafting press releases and other public statements related to U.S. security assistance to Ukraine.
- Updating fact sheets and other background materials used by the Secretary of Defense, USD(P), and other Policy leadership for congressional and media engagements.
- Assisting in the drafting of mandatory reports to Congress and responses to inquiries from Members of Congress and their staff.
- Providing information as required in support of evaluations for the Government Accountability Office and DoD Inspector General and reviewing draft DODIG/GAO reports for RUE equities.
- Craft and coordinate products for Congressional reporting and outreach related to Ukraine Security Assistance Activities.
