Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor, utilizing clear and positive communication to create a pleasant atmosphere.
- Listen attentively to requests, respond promptly, and provide accurate information regarding outlet hours, local attractions, and other relevant details.
- Efficiently complete registration processes, inputting and retrieving vital information from our computer system, confirming pertinent details such as guest counts and room rates.
- Select suitable rooms based on guest needs and preferences.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to various departments, ensuring timely communication and transparency.
- Run backup reports and maintain up-to-date records.
- Issue room keys and special packages as required.
- Create new reservations and modify existing ones as needed, catering to guest requirements.
- Foster effective communication between departments to ensure all guest needs are met.
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization using electronic acceptance methods.
- Handle cash transactions, make change, and balance assigned house banks, accepting and recording vouchers, traveler's checks, and other forms of payment.
- Perform accurate mathematical calculations using a calculator.
- Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts via our computer system.
- Respond to internal and external phone calls using positive and clear communication in a courteous manner.
- Retrieve mail, small packages, and faxes for guests as requested.
- Closely monitor guest accounts at check-out, assess satisfaction, and address any concerns or issues within established guidelines, involving supervisors if necessary.
- Remain calm and alert during emergency situations and peak resort activity.
- Summon bell staff to escort guests to their rooms as required.
- Pursue additional duties as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
