Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team and support the educational needs of our young students. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in the learning process, providing guidance and support to our teachers and students. Duties:
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing engaging lessons and activities for preschool and early childhood students.
- Support students with special needs, providing individualized attention and care as needed.
- Help children develop social skills, emotional intelligence, and behavioral management strategies.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring that all students have access to necessary resources and facilities.
- Provide nurturing and caregiving to children, promoting a sense of trust and security.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback and suggestions to teachers.
- Assist with infant care, including feeding, bathing, and putting children to sleep.
- Support nannying and childcare responsibilities, such as preparing meals and snacks.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans and assessments that align with state and national standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
Skills:
- First aid and emergency response experience.
- Strong background in early childhood education, special education, or a related field.
- Knowledge of childhood development and the needs of preschool and early childhood students.
- Ability to manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment.
- Experience in caregiving, childcare, or nannying.
- Familiarity with infant care and feeding practices.
