What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Sand Dunes Recreation?
Responsibilities:
- Assist our General Manager in daily operations & management of pool facilities, as well as 2 on-site restaurants. We are the 2nd most popular tourist attraction in The San Luis Valley. We see 300,000 guests per year. We have and RV Park, Cabin Rentals, Tent Campground, and Gift Shop on site as well.
-A huge part of our business comes from our 2 restaurants located on-site. Must be proficient in restaurant management and be able to assist in our kitchens as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their inquiries and concerns.
- Supervise and train sales associates to ensure they provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in inventory control, including receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
- Help develop and implement sales strategies to increase store revenue.
- Assist in employee orientation and training programs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, cash drawers, and end of day duties.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in restaurant management or assistant manager role is required. Must be able to think on your feet and work under pressure in a fast- paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Point of Sale (POS) systems and other retail software.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
- Budgeting skills to assist with financial management of the store
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to motivate and lead a team
