Restaurant Server

Sand Hollow Resort is a premier destination to Escape. Play. Discover. Relax. Home of Southern Utah’s top-ranked golf destination, the resort encompasses 183 units ranging from 1 to 6 bedrooms for guests to relax in during their stay.

We are seeking a reliable, Server. A Server is responsible for bringing food and beverages to dine-in customers seated in their section at a restaurant. Their duties include writing down each customer’s order, submitting it to the kitchen and bringing out the correct dishes and beverages to each diner.

Requirements:

• Welcoming and sitting diners comfortably in the dining section. Taking customers’ food and drink orders in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with the kitchen for prompt and correct delivery of orders.
• Memorizing the menu and recommending appetizers, meals and drinks.
• Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly.
• Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant.
• Deliver checks and collect payments.
• Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events.
• Running deliveries and necessary.
• Providing service and bartending during events catered by the restaurant.
• Supporting the take-out counter and to-go orders.
• Completing side work at the end of each shift.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous resort or food service experience a plus (e.g. resorts, ski, golf etc.).
• Knowledge of POS systems.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• Able to perform high quality work with little supervision.
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, customer-centric.
• Food Handler Permit and DABS certification a plus; will train if necessary.
• Available to work all days and shifts including weekends, holidays and on call as needed.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for entire shift.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $7.25 per hour
