Job Overview:
Sand Mountain Surface seeks to add a positive, outgoing, and highly motivated individual to its team of Countertop Sales Specialists. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in our showrooms in Marshall and Etowah county. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with customers to maximize sales opportunities
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team to address special product needs
- Accurately estimate building products for customers
- Address complex inquiries within the sales function
- Conduct basic mathematical calculations and analyze sales data
- Provide innovative suggestions for company improvement
- Establish and maintain major account relationships to achieve personal sales targets
- Offer training and guidance to new staff members
- Meet and exceed sales goals
Experience:
- Prior experience in retail sales, particularly in the flooring category, is preferred
- Proficiency in product knowledge related to flooring materials
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency with software applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of construction materials and interior design concepts is advantageous
- Demonstrated competitiveness, resilience, and persuasion skills
- Team player with exceptional organizational and time management skills
