Position: Executive Director of District Compliance/Virtual Education

Reports to: Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning
Status: Exempt
Evaluation: McRel and/or Checkpoints & Supt. Developed Evaluation Tool
Contract: 240 days/7.5 hours daily
Certification and Requirements:
Doctorate degree in education or related field (preferred)
• Additional degrees/coursework desirable
• Oklahoma Superintendent Certification (Possess or ability to obtain in a timely manner)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
• Knowledge of Accreditation Requirements as set forth by the Oklahoma State Department of Education
* Knowledge of teacher certification requirements
* Knowledge of class-size auditing requirements
* Specialized knowledge of graduation requirements
* Secondary Principals Certification (6th - 12th grade)
* Elementary Principals Certification (Kdg. - 5th)
* Pass an OSBI background check
Salary:

Job Summary:
The Executive Director of District Compliance/Virtual Education will compile and report all documents and meet all requirements for the SSPS district and sites regarding OKSDE Accreditation and Statistical Reporting. This person will also be the acting Principal for SSPS Virtual Academic Academy (Grades PreK—12th) and the administrator of the Sand Springs Public Schools Transition Academy (a post-secondary program for special education students 18-22 years of age to assist students with independent living and work skills).
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities and duties include (but are not limited to):
- Respond to parent concerns and respond accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with building principals, directors, and staff.
- Collaborate with the high school principal, alternative school principal, and counselors to ensure graduation requirements are met.
- Oversee virtual student enrollment, scheduling, and grading in Infinite Campus, Edgenuity, and Edmentum, including pre-enrollment, enrollment changes, course requests, student credit needs, setting student schedules, transcript grades, and tracking attendance
- Initiate purchase orders and monitor supplies
- Engaging and building strong professional relationships with parents, characterized by timely and regular communications, involving parents, wherever possible in the life of the school
- Monitor staff attendance
- Monitor teacher and paraprofessional performance (TLE and other)
- Assist with all aspects of state testing
- Is responsible for state reporting requirements, including First Quarter & Annual Statistical Reporting, October 1 Consolidated Report, Class Size Verification, Accreditation Reports, Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC), and various reports on the Statewide Student Information System
- Prepares routine correspondence, reports, forms, and other documents upon request

Other required experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must be proficient in using computers, with a strong working knowledge of MS Office Google Suite, and attention to detail. Highly ethical professional with strong business acumen who has demonstrated success in meeting deadlines.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
This position works primarily in an office environment with a low to medium noise level. It requires the ability to sit and/or stand for a prolonged period, move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials manually, stoop, bend, and reach, and regular attendance and physical presence at the office.
