Sandberg Phoenix is recruiting for a Docketing Specialist
The Docketing Specialist is responsible for accurately reviewing e-filings and other submissions to the Docketing Department and entering case details and due dates into the firm’s docketing software. Candidate should have 2 years of legal experience with knowledge of various pleadings.

What you’ll do:
· Generate and finalize correspondence, and legal documents to include pleadings, memoranda, briefs, electronic filings, contracts, leases, and agreements.
- Log and process all docket requests using the firm’s docketing software.
- Review and analyze docketing requests and accurately calculate critical dates and related deadlines.
- Manages and reviews incoming/outgoing pleadings and court documentation and enters schedules or deadlines into the docketing software.
· Performs required legal research on applicable court rules and research on court orders.
- Generate reports detailing action items and deadlines.
- Enters case information on all new matters coming into the docketing database (court information, cause number, party contact information, etc.).
- Ensure that all docketed items are addressed and cleared in compliance with established firm docketing procedures.
- Communicates timely and accurately with attorneys and legal support staff regarding docket matters and due dates.
· Prepares and circulates reminders for impending deadlines.
You should have:
- Associate Degree in paralegal studies or business degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a docket specialist, paralegal or legal assistant.
- Extensive knowledge of litigation rules and procedures for federal and state courts including Missouri, Illinois and Kansas.
- Working knowledge of BEC Docket Enterprise preferred.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with internal clients and all levels of personnel, as well as external clients, to include court personnel.
- Detail oriented, extremely organized, and able to prioritize tasks and handle competing priorities.
- Ability to meet job expectations with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication (including spelling and grammar).
- Proficient in searching and retrieving information from court-related databases (e.g., Pacer, Lexis-Nexis Practical Guidance, and CourtLink) and on-line state courts. Candidates must possess a team-oriented attitude.

· The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 to $63,000 per year. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity considerations .
