What you’ll do:
Probate/Estate Planning
- Attend initial meetings with client and attorney.
- Gather and identify documents in preparation for estate planning.
- Draft various estate planning documents to include wills, living trusts, health care directives, powers of attorney, conservatorships and guardianships.
- Collect information on assets in preparation of inventory and appraisals.
- Research and determine titling of assets.
- Maintain financial records and spreadsheets on estates.
- Manage client files, ensuring that all documents are accurately maintained, organized, and updated.
- Prepare and file probate documents in administration of estate.
- Serves as a witness to will signings.
- Monitor and manage deadlines to ensure timely compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Corporate Planning, including but not limited to: Resolutions, Assignments and Stock Transfers.
Trust Administration
- Assist in the administration of trusts, including the preparation of trust accounting, financial statements, and reports.
- Coordinate the distribution of assets according to trust terms.
- Prepare documents for the transfer of assets, including deeds, titles, and other related legal instruments.
- Assist with the review and interpretation of trust documents to ensure compliance with legal and fiduciary requirements.
- Facilitate communication with trustees, beneficiaries, and financial institutions to ensure timely and accurate administration.
You should have :
- Bachelor’s degree along with a Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- Proven experience as a paralegal in wealth planning and/or transactional law.
- Strong understanding of estate planning, trust administration, estate tax returns and probate laws. Familiarity with special needs trusts and tax laws related to trusts and estates is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work to meet project deadlines.
- Ability to proofread material for contextual, grammatical, typographic or spelling errors.
- Ability to review, organize, and analyze documentation.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and follow instructions effectively from clients and attorneys.
- Interpersonal skills to work with other Sandberg Phoenix members in a positive, teamwork environment to service our clients.
- Advanced knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Ability to travel to assist attorney in representing client.
- Work may occasionally require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

- Salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 commensurate with experience.
