Production Scheduler

IPS – RMB Products is seeking a Production Scheduling Technician supports customer needs by interfacing with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales to develop and implement production schedules that optimize on time delivery.

Job Accountabilities:

• Create work orders, print and distribute to appropriate departments.
• Understand mechanics of ERP systems to avoid excess WIP and finished goods inventory & understand LS build programs.
• Assist with monitoring workflow and discuss with Master Scheduler to determine capacity and strategic planning to ensure on time delivery.
• Review and update backlog status daily to ensure all customer orders are released and/or checked for material availability, masters created and approved for production release, report any issues to Master Scheduler.
• Assist Master Scheduler with updating capacity reports.
• Release powder work orders when requested and distribute to appropriate departments.
• Complete scrap tickets by issuing revised work orders to replace part(s) or show extended work times.
• Assist with special projects to support lean management.
• Support Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing regarding shipments, schedule changes, shortages or other topics to develop and maintain a good working relationship.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Specifications:

Education: Requires a High School Diploma/GED. Appropriate certifications may be substituted to meet educational requirements.

Years’ Experience: 0-2 years' of relevant experience in a Manufacturing environment

Skills:

• Ability to operate office equipment, such as, PC, copier, and phone system.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
• Experience in ERP/MRP systems, specifically Visual Manufacturing is preferred.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all departments and all levels of employees.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions and changes in priorities, and challenge processes for continual improvements.
• Must work cooperatively in a team environment.

The employee will be required:

• Lifting up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work on-site
