Sr Mgr. Accounting & Financial Reporting

Integrated Polymer Solutions (IPS) is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Accounting & Reporting who will be responsible for overseeing reporting functions of the Company. This role requires a deep understanding of public company reporting and (SOX) compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the team with the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Support the team with the financial close process, including consolidations, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and other required disclosures, as needed.
• Complete a monthly, quarterly and yearly standardized financial statement reporting checklist required for compliance with SEC and PCAOB standards.
• Develop and implement process narratives for financial statement areas
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure SOX compliance.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit and quarterly reviews.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Support staff selection, performance, development and training processes to ensure team competencies and capabilities to reach the business goals and expectations.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and variances, and providing actionable insights to senior management.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Job Specifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Years Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience within Manufacturing industry preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, PCAOB standards, SEC reporting requirements, and SOX compliance.
• Experience with public company reporting is required.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
• Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting processes and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
