Integrated Polymer Solutions is seeking an Surface Prep Operator (2nd shift) who is responsible for preparing surfaces for the next operation including paint.

Job Accountabilities:
Cleans and prepares surfaces to be painted or lined primarily by surface blasting- Responsible for masking off areas that will be paint-free and areas that do not require surface
preparation
- Performs incidental duties such as hanging pipe, crane operation, forklift operation, and other
duties as assigned by Chemical Production Supervisor
- Maintain work areas per the 5S Methodology
- Complete daily and weekly preventative maintenance forms
- Utilizes the proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Job Specifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
Years’ Experience: 0-1 years of relevant experience
Skills:
- Experience as a surface prep operator or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
- Experience of proper methods of preparing various surfaces for painting and finishing preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and customer provided specifications
- Ability to communicate both written and orally in the English Language
- Ability to understand and follow instructions given out orally and in writing by the Chemical Production Supervisor or customer expectations
- Requires great attention to detail
- Ability to meet workmanship standards
- Current and active Forklift certification
- Current and active Crane and Rigging certification
- Certified for use of Respirators
