What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician position at Sanders Plumbing HVAC?
We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to fill a growing need. We specialize in residential repair, light commercial, maintenance to residential and commercial systems, and installation.
Typical Duties
- Maintain a high level of understanding of equipment capabilities and operations
- Full understanding of Service Titan
- Able to troubleshoot and correctly diagnose electrical, control and mechanical failures and problems
- Understand and stay current on industry trends and changes
- Full E.P.A. certification required
- Demonstrate an ability to coordinate the overall resolution of multiple customer problems
- Maintain personal discipline and composure in the performance of multiple customer services
- Keep supervisor fully informed of work situations which may impede your fulfillment of customer commitments
- Electrical circuit analysis capability
- Electrical and mechanical component analysis capability
- Refrigerant analysis capability
- Fluid dynamics familiarity
- Air dynamics familiarity
- Ability to accurately report problem situations
- Understand critical value of clients to Sanders Plumbing HVAC and associates
- Accept responsibility for correction of customer problems brought to your attention
- Maintain positive communications with all Sanders Plumbing HVAC and potential customers to facilitate growth and opportunity
- Ability to stay organized for scheduling requirements
- Focus on assignment completion to ensure customer satisfaction and timely invoicing
- Ability to assist dispatcher with prioritizing
- Maintain professional-quality information files for reference with supervisor on payroll, billing, projects, etc.
- Communicate all project opportunities to service manager and projects sales representative
- Communicate and reschedule all incomplete work with your assigned dispatcher
- Communicate situational information appropriate customer contact
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, & Experience
- Must have at least four (4) years of relevant HVAC field experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must provide a clean DMV report covering the past three (3) years
- Must understand and comply with all safety and OSHA requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be capable of effectively speaking and writing in the English language
- Universal EPA Certification
- Capable of working alone or on a team
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding technical issues
- HVAC Trade school or college courses a plus
- Must understand the fundamentals of refrigeration systems, pumps, air handling systems, and duct work
- Must have an understanding of electrical troubleshooting for both low voltage controls and high voltage power.
Salary Range
$30 - $35 per hour based on experience
